Recruitment Wrapped!

Updated: Sep 6
Sorority recruitment and Bid Day at the University of South Carolina are no doubt among the most eagerly awaited events of the year. With the largest potential new member class in the country, ADPi worked diligently and efficiently for months, preparing to bring home the largest alpha class in USC history! From recruitment workshops starting in January to Work Week filled with unique themes and external collaborations, we have officially welcomed home 178 new members to Alpha Delta Pi’s Beta Epsilon chapter out of 2,560 potential new members.
Kicking off Work Week on August 3rd with “BE the First” day, girls dressed up in red, white, and blue, and represented a variety of sports and athletes in gold medals. Followed by “I HEART ADPi”, a fun spin on “I HEART NY.” This day was a personal favorite, with girls getting super creative - from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Eloise in the Plaza, taxi drivers, Statue of Liberty, you name it!
With “Over the Moon for ADPi,” we were “launching AC ’26 in 3…2…1!” With cool-toned pinks, blues, and purples, we dressed as aliens and astronauts. Our fourth theme was cute and classic, “Feeling Blue Without You,” because azure blue would certainly look good on you. And we wrapped up spirit week with “ADPOP Stars,” from Taylor Swift, Ella Langley, Pitch Perfect, and Hannah Montana; it was a day filled with sequins, sparkles, and good music.
But of course, we saved the best for last. Bid Day was the best day ever! Our theme was baseball-inspired so we could have AC ’26 “Meet us at the Diamond,” and they quite literally did. After a joy-filled afternoon at Colonial Life Arena, sharing Bid Day with all the amazing chapters at USC, our girls ran back to the (beautifully decorated) ADPi house for an hour of pictures and iced cookies (made by our very own Izzy Dahm). The weather might not have been perfect, but our girls made the most of it, and no one could help but have a smile on their face!
But the real surprise was our Bid Day venue. Adelyn Burns, 2026 Bid Day Chair, worked with local vendors and planned merchandise and marketing efforts to bring this vision to life. The location was Segra Park, a baseball park in Columbia, home of the Columbia Fireflies. It was filled to the brim with photo opportunities (bouncy houses, slides, and even USC Mascot, “Cocky”), lots of snacks and treats (Dippin’ Dots, snow cones, hot dogs, chicken tenders, popcorn, etc), and a live band. Everywhere you looked, new members were getting the best Bid Day experience possible, making new friends, and meeting upperclassmen.
It has been the best type of chaos these past few weeks at 508 Gadsden Street, and we are so beyond happy to have our perfect 178 new alpha members! To learn more about the full USC recruitment experience, check out USC Panhellenic on Instagram, featuring all 14 of our chapters.
XOXO, ALPHA DELTA PI - BETA EPSILON
